This Wednesday, June 11^th at 10:00am, Jean, Mary, and Demie will be leading the first 55+ walk of the summer. We’re planning to explore a section of the Alden Bryan Brewster River Trail and the Pond Loop Trail, starting from Brewster River Park on Canyon Road in Jeffersonville.

To get there, turn left onto Canyon Road from Route 108 South. It’s about three-quarters of a mile from the Madonna Mobil gas station on Route 15 in Jeff. Keep an eye out for the Grist Mill, which is just before Canyon Road. (Map at this link)

Please park and meet at Brewster River Park, which is located before you cross the Canyon Road bridge.

The walk itself is approximately 2¾ miles. If the group is up for lunch after the walk, we could head to Burger Barn in Jeffersonville. We can talk more about that on Wednesday.

Given the time of year, we recommend bringing bug spray and or nets and wearing long pants to protect against insects.
