Smuggs 55+ Club : This Week? Nut’n Honey.

This week you all get the week off.

But there a couple of noteworthy things to mention…

SMUGGS CO-OP

You may recall from months ago that a group was forming to explore operating Smuggs as a co-op. They sent out an update recently that is included below.
You will find them at  www.smuggscoop.com where you can sign up to be kept informed.

UNITED WAY – WOODLOT

The United Way runs a woodlot in Morrisville that is used to provide cut and split firewood to seniors, veterans, and families who are income-eligible.
The Cambridge Area Rotary are running several firewood prep’ and delivery days over the next couple of months.
They are looking for help,  particularly for splitters, dump trailers and strong trucks.

Their email is included below
All general help is appreciated.
Volunteer sign up is at this link

CALENDAR

And a reminder that the club calendar can be found at https://smuggs55plus.com/club-calendar/

Smuggs Coop

Hope you all are having a great summer. It certainly feels like winter is fast approaching with these cold nights… Sorry for the delay in contacting you all! We are in the process of scheduling a Fall meet up to keep the ball rolling on our ongoing community effort.   Below is an email from co-founder June Bug that should have been sent months ago…

I would like to welcome all of you who have signed up so far to our Smuggs co-op website. Thank you so much. It is encouraging to see how many people love Smuggs and believe that we need to do something to help it survive as the mountain we have all grown to love..    We have launched our own Instagram page and as of the evening of July 23 have 315 people signed up. While we’re excited about this number, we need more people.
In the coming weeks, we will be in contact about setting up an meet up event to start going through our list and looking for people who have indicated they are willing to help and have the skills that we will need to launch this project off the ground.
Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you think you have the time to dedicate and want to be a member of our core group to get this project off the ground.    We need EVERYBODY to help spread the word by sharing the form at www.smuggscoop.com with your networks, social media, friends/neighbors, etc.   This project will not succeed without the majority of Smuggs skiers and riders.
 We NEED you.
Thank you so much for your support.   ~June   DISCLAIMER ***THIS IS AN GRASSROOTS EXPLORATORY EFFORT TO ORGANIZE THE SMUGGS COMMUNITY. WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH SMUGGLER’S NOTCH RESORT!***
