All,
We have four things for you this week.
- New preseason conditioning class availability
- Getting the après-ski speaker series restarted
- This week’s paddle, with a small twist.
- Is anyone coming to the Picnic at Niquette State park?
1. Preseason Conditioning Classes
We have expanded the very well received pre-season condition classes and now have five more openings available. First come / first served. Please reply to Colette Jurnak (c.m.j@comcast.net) who will let you know how to pay and secure your spot. This excellent class is again being given by Kelsey Doe. Kelsey is exceptionally well qualified and has tailored this program specifically for the club.
- Six classes, held weekly
- Starts Wednesday, October 29th, with a break at Thanksgiving
- Runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- $75 for all six classes – no credit for missed classes
- Held at the Fun zone’s party room
Many, many thanks to Colette for getting this arranged – it was work.
2. Restarting the much missed après-ski speaker series
Susan Larson has generously stepped up to get this long running and much loved program restarted for the 2025-26 Smuggs 55+ season. Susan needs your input for speakers. The program will be held at a yet-to-be-determined location in the Village on select Wednesdays from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Share your suggested speakers by email to Susan Larson at susanularson@gmail.com. Please provide the person’s contact information, if possible. Thank you!
3. This week’s paddle, with a small twist.
This week’s paddle at the Green River reservoir on the 17th will be hosted this week by Ann & Carol Fano.
Details the same as prior weeks (at this link)
The Fano’s are offering their spare canoe – they will bring it if you claim it by email to the Fano’s at info@wayawayfarm.com
4. Is anyone coming to the Picnic at Niquette State park??
We are very short on RSVP’s for the annual walk and picnic at Niquette Bay State Park Wednesday 9/24. Details at this link
