This marks our final post for the summer and fall. We will return as ski season approaches.
Several members have asked about keeping activities going through the off-season. The best way is through our Facebook page, which continues to be rational haven in an uncertain sea. Use it freely to gather a few friends for a walk, hike, or evening out.
Your club’s Advisory Board met recently to review the past season and plan for the next.
For the first time in fourteen years, membership dues will rise.
- 2025–2026 dues: $40 per person.
- Reason: The inevitable gradually rising catering costs for our Wednesday meetings (charged per attendee by the resort) and higher attendance—good news for our club, but it adds up.
Last season’s catering and minor incidental expenses exceeded membership revenue, and we drew on reserves to balance the books.
Looking Ahead:
Continuing the long legacy left by Lois Adams, we are reviving the Afternoon Speaker Series, Susan Larson has assembled an outstanding lineup of excellent speakers. Six sessions are planned—two each in December, January, and February.
Full details will be shared in our season-opening email in late November.
Until then – stack wood, rake leaves, keep the pain killers close.
