This week we hold our first get together in the Oak Room in the Morse Grill, map at this link.
Wednesday Dec 17th at 9:00.
As I write Sterling is mostly open, Morse is beginning to open and it seems likely it will be mostly open by Wednesday. The Trails & Lift report is at this link. Surprisingly no Nordic trails are shown as open though we have had plenty of snow.
Speaker Series
Vermonter Noah Dines shares the story of his world-record breaking journey skiing the most human-powered vertical feet in one year — 3,590,097! – which would probably break the Smuggs tracking app. His achievement is recorded in the film “Still Excited to Ski.” Join us this Wednesday, the 17th, at 1 p.m. in Bootleggers’ Lounge in the Village at Smugglers’ Notch Resort with your resort purchased or packed lunch. The speaker begins at 1:30. All ages are welcome to attend. The program is free for Smuggs 55+ Club members. There is a suggested $5 donation for guests.
Winterlude
Now would be a good time to let Heidi Crossman know that you interested in joining us for our trip to Ottawa’s always-excellent annual Winterlude festival, from Friday, February 6th through the 8th.
Heidi has a deadline December 17th booking deadline.
