Happy February!

I am looking for your stories of derring-do and mischief mismanaged for this year’s Ski Trip Awards at the end-of-year banquet on March 25. Don’t be shy—requests for anonymity will always be honored.

The days are getting longer, the snow continues to fall. This winter has seen over eighteen feet of snow on Mansfield, with a six foot snowpack remaining  – all round it is a great time for snow sports.

Last week, Poppy Gall led a guided tour of the Ski Museum in Stowe. The event was a great success, with just under twenty people attending, and was followed by a convivial lunch at the Round Hearth ski dorm—reinvented during COVID as a café and now a most convivial place to gather. Props to Ann Fano for arranging it all.

On February 11th we welcome our own Flora Hurteau to hear the story of her adventures on an epic tour of Lake Champlain’s islands.
