Saturday August 15th, The ever popular Day at Jack & Bonnie’s house on Lake Champlain. Now would be a very good time to RSVP to Bonnie bonnieparenteau@comcast.net

There is nothing scheduled for August 19th. I believe there will be a walk on the 26th and a hike on 27th.

Coming up in mid-September there is a United Way Firewood Project volunteer day in Morrisville to cut split and stack emergency supplies for this winter. Details at https://uwlamoille.org/community-resources/firewood-program.html

For the next bike ride I’m proposing the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail from Sheldon Junction to the Maple City Diner in St. Albans. This ride is 9.1 miles each way which the group has done in previous summers. Trail conditions should be really good as it was restored last year. 

We will meet at 10:00 AM, at the crossing of the LVRT and the MVRT at Sheldon Junction, site of the large feed plant with plenty of parking.

Bonnie and Jack are again generously offering us a picnic at their lakefront house in Milton on (NOT Friday) Saturday, August 15th from 11:00 to ??

Bonnie & Jack will be providing the hamburgers and hot dogs Pretzels from John & Heidi’s bakery and pink lemonade. They have paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils.
As usual bring chairs, coolers, ice, pot-luck items, and drinks.

Would someone bring a case of water?

Bring your sturdy water shoes, and water toys.
There are numerous floats.

The aluminum boat with electric motor, (the motor is Kaput) is available for fishing, with five rods and reels. BYOB, as in Bring Your Own Bait.

Two kayaks are available with life jackets.

Parking is somewhat limited, so car-pooling would be helpful. As in past years, leave the parking by the house for unloading and for folks with limited mobility. There is general parking past the house a little way up the hill.
