Things are settling into a routine, no changes and not much to write about this week.
Being the Martin Luther King holiday we expect it to be busier. According to the Smuggs website, only Monday is a holiday (blackout day).
The Village Lodge has been open this last couple of weeks, so there is a good chance you will be able to change and leave your gear there.
The recent snow has persisted as the temperatures have remained below freezing and my wood pile is shrinking. Madonna 2 has been open most days. Sterling continues to expand its open terrain. The Highlands and most of Morse and are open.
Today (Monday) they are showing six miles of Cross Country open, with four miles groomed. The lifts and trails report is at this link.
We continue to get a trickle of membership inquiries so we can expect a couple of new faces this week.
Our newest member, Eric Higley, works at the Cross Country Center and was kind enough to check on the cross-country discounts for us.
55+ members ski for $5.00 per day on any day, so not restricted to Wednesdays. A notch card and a current 55+ membership card are required.
I also followed up on Pool Use. Our passes & benefits do not include the pool BUT…
If you do volunteer work in your community Smuggs offers Daycation passes that do include pool access.
More information at this link which includes a link to a sign-up form. They do require a letter from your organization to confirm your eligibility.
We meet on Wednesday at 9:00 in the Oak room (map at this link)
See you then
