Sledding!
Tony Telensky is running a sledding party in The Notch (the closed section of Rte 108) on –
Tuesday the 31st meeting at 9:30 – 10:00 in the parking area by the road closure gate, just above Smuggs parking lot 1. He will bring a bunch of sleds, but bring your own if you wish. If you think you will be going, please give him a heads-up by text to 802-922-6337
The Oak Room
The floor manager has kindly offered us the Oak Room for continued socializing after the meeting has finished.
The space will be available unless it is needed for a special event.
Elevator
We have several folks who have had recent joint replacements. There is an elevator available for the folks who may not be able to manage the stairs. The elevator must be operated by a staff member. Have one of us at the meeting show you where to go, and to arrange an operator.
The Smuggs 5+ Club
A couple of us were honored guests at the annual Smuggs 5+ Club, AKA the Winter Wellness Week for the Cambridge Elementary School, where the students are offered a week’s skiing and instruction. Many of these young ‘uns would not otherwise have the opportunity to be introduced to skiing and it was a treat to spend time with them. Money for the rentals, instruction and passes was raised by the students themselves, generously assisted by the Cambridge Area Rotary and the resort. It seems to me that this is a good way to fill the pipeline with future prospective members that will come to fruition around 2073 – a scary thought.

I hope I don’t need the elevator after Tuesday’s outing.
