Week Ten

All,

A chilly couple of days had forced Smuggs to partially close.
Hopefully the weather will return to its senses by Wednesday.

The Resort is looking for help for the presidents week, both paid and volunteer

This from Harley Johnson…

We are looking for help for President’s week.

We are in need of instructors for lessons, all day camps and the adaptive program.  All of which are paid positions but if any of your folks want to just volunteer for their time we can make that work too.

Do reach out to Harley at hjohnson@smuggs.com.
We will not be meeting that week, February 22nd

Sledding Redux

Tony Telensky is running another  sledding party in The Notch (the closed section of Rte 108) on –
Thursday  February 9th  meeting at 9:30 – 10:00 in the parking area by the road closure gate, just above Smuggs parking lot 1. He will bring a bunch of sleds, but bring your own if you wish. If you think you will be going, please give him a heads-up by text to 802-922-6337

I will be going this week even though I wussed-out last week.

Tony is a little confused and wonders if 55 is the upper or lower speed limit for club members.

You will find a video at this link courtesy of Wayne Pierce. What could possibly go wrong??

Badges

As mentioned in the last meeting our badge vendor is seeking to increase the badge price from $10 to $15. We are looking into alternate suppliers. I have ordered a couple of samples from on line vendors to see what we get.  A couple of folks have noted that the magnetic fasteners are not reliable. We will get that changed in the next version.

Miscellaneous

  • The Oak Room will be available for socializing after the meeting
  • Supervised us of the Elevator is available for folks who are having a tough time with the stairs
  • The village lodge is sometimes available to us, but not reliably.

Looking forward to seeing you next Wednesday.

I hope I don’t need the elevator after Tuesday’s outing.

We meet on Wednesday at 9:00 in the Oak Room (map at this link)

See you then
Bring your badges!

  1. Suggestion: Badges are nice, but I think what would be a good addition to that is a bright (e.g. magenta, day-glo, etc.) sticker that we can place on our helmets. This could be easily identifiable from a distance…
