Each year at the end-of-season banquet, special recognition is made to club members in several categories.
Ski Tip Awards are “exceedingly rare, highly coveted, unique, and much sought after,” said club president Liam Kearney. Five were awarded this year:
Bud Conger: “Bud’s Way” – The Best Way.
Susanne Masson: Best bomber blackout bail.
Charlie Magill: My life is going downhill, fast.
Keith Gross: If it’s not a yard sale, you’re not trying.
Susan Larson: Member acquisition magician.

Three people joined the “Order of the Long Johns,” an invitation for those 80 and older to enroll and sign the said long johns. They were (pictured left to right) Lois Adams, Margaret McIntosh, and Cathi Glanz.

For “Order of Titanium,” those who received new joints the past year are invited to stand up and be recognized.
“The Good Old Joint Gang,” is recognition of those over age 65 who still have all their original joints.
The 31st annual spring banquet was held on Wednesday, March 29, in the Oak Room. More than 70 people attended.
Special thanks to Smuggs 55+ Corporate Liaison Harley Johnson, Smugglers’ Notch Food Concessions Manager Peter Brown, and the culinary staff who took such good care of us this ski season.
