A Walk on Eagle Mountain
Location: Eagle mountain, Milton
Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026
Time: 10:00am at Henry Rd.
Organized by Jean Kearney, Demie Lyons, Mary Ingvoldstad, Jean.Kearney@verizon.net
The Eagle Mountain nature trails are part of 225 acres protecting one of Vermont’s important natural areas. On the walk, we’ll pass through a rolling hay field, sugar maple forests, impressive rocky ledges, and a stunning Lake Champlain view. The summit of Eagle Mountain is the highest point along the shore of Lake Champlain.
The walk is on cleared trails and is considered easy (with some gentle ups and downs). There are some roots and rocks along the way. Our proposed route is 2.9 miles, but a 2.0 mile route is also an option.
After the walk, we will be going to lunch at The Sandbar (optional). https://sandbarvt.com/
Meet at 10:00 at the Parking Lot AT THE END OF HENRY ROAD (off Beebe Hill Road). Do not park at the entrance off Cold Spring Road.
